BEHIND THE ARTWORK
“Although most of Sheffield's cultural heritage has been knocked down, removed and renewed (for better or worse), there's still plenty of its industrial past evident - old courtyards, mester works, and ageing buildings with faded signs bleached by the sun, overlaid with new brighter ones, advertising some kind of disposal hope. I encounter it everyday, both consciously and unconsciously. It's taken a while to realise that this informs my work greatly, and I hope it continues to do so”
- Nick Grindrod, 2021
Framed works are presented in a handmade wooden tray frame (no glass). We use an Obeche wood that is stained by hand and made to order, available in black, dark brown, lime wash or white as per the example images below.
Please specify your tray frame colour preference in the order notes when placing your order.
Framing is 2-4 weeks as standard. We are happy to hold up samples against your purchased painting and discuss which finish works best.
Shipping costs are calculated according to artwork size, framing and delivery location.
